Eight rules govern nomination. The form enforces them; none is left to good faith.
Who may nominate
Any IREF Member, registered Buyer, Special Invitee, VIP Pass Holder or Standard Pass Holder of BIRC 2026.
One nomination per category
You may put forward one person or organisation in each award category.
Ten categories at most
You may nominate across a maximum of ten different award categories.
A candidate may be nominated many times
Nominations for the same person or organisation from different nominators count together, in one category or across several.
Shortlisting
Candidates with a significant number of nominations go before the BIRC Awards Committee. Volume indicates industry recognition; it entitles no one to an award.
Evaluation
The Committee weighs contribution to the rice sector, professional standing, achievements, industry impact and other relevant considerations.
Final selection
The Committee determines the shortlist and the recipients. Its decision is final.
Presentation
Those selected are invited on stage to receive the BIRC 2026 Award Trophy at the official ceremony.
